Privacy Policy — Hooks & Racks

1. Who we are

Hooks & Racks is an online retailer based in Spintex, Accra, Ghana. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. Reach us at orders@shophooksnracks.com or WhatsApp +233 55 251 7758.

2. What we collect

• When you order: your name, phone number, email, delivery address, the map pin you set for delivery, and any delivery or gift notes.
• If you create an account: your name, email, phone, and a securely hashed password. An account is optional — you can check out as a guest. We don't keep a saved address on your account.
• If you leave a review or feedback: the name you enter and your message.
• As you browse: basic first-party visit information — pages viewed, the site you came from, your approximate country/city, and whether you're on mobile or desktop — linked only to a one-way hashed identifier, never your name or raw IP address.

3. What we never store

We do not see or store your card number, CVV, Mobile Money number, or PIN. Payment details are entered directly with Paystack and handled entirely by them.

4. How we use it

To process, deliver, or arrange pickup of your order; to keep you updated (order confirmation, a tracking link, and delivery status by SMS and email); to answer your messages; to understand in aggregate how the shop is used; and to send marketing only if you've opted in.

5. Why we're allowed to use it

We use your order details because they're necessary to fulfil the order you placed with us — to take payment, deliver it, and keep you updated. We use first-party visit statistics for our legitimate interest in understanding how the shop is used, in a form that doesn't identify you. We send marketing only where you've given consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

6. Who we share it with

Only what's necessary, only with the services that run the shop:

• Paystack — to process payment (name, email, phone, amount).
• SMSOnlineGH — to send you texts (your phone + the message).
• Resend — to send you emails (your email + the message).
• Google Maps — to help you enter your address and set your delivery pin at checkout.
• ip-api.com — to turn a visit into an approximate country/city for our analytics.
• Our delivery riders — your name, phone, and delivery address, via a separate rider link that expires after delivery, so they can bring your order.

We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertising networks or data brokers.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use only essential first-party cookies (your shopping session and a security token). We do not use Google Analytics, the Meta/Facebook pixel, or any third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Our own visit statistics don't use a cookie and don't identify you.

8. Order tracking links

When your order is on the way, we text you a tracking link. It contains a long, unguessable code, so it isn't publicly listed — but anyone you share it with can view that order's status, and the link does not currently expire. Please share it only with people who need it.

9. Keeping your information

We keep your order and account records for as long as needed to run the business. We don't currently delete them automatically. You can ask us to access or delete your information (section 11) and we'll handle it manually.

10. Marketing

Marketing messages are sent only if you've opted in, and each one includes a way to unsubscribe. Order-related messages (confirmation, tracking, delivery updates) are part of the service and are always sent.

11. Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold, or to stop marketing, by contacting orders@shophooksnracks.com or WhatsApp +233 55 251 7758.

12. Children

Our shop is for adults; we don't knowingly collect information from children.

13. Changes

We may update this policy; the version on this page is the current one.
